Spraycaps or Nozzles
Standard Caps (see diagram below)
Figure (a) shows the "Male" type of standard cap or nozzle. All the Montana Black & MTN Colors spraypaint take "male" type of caps/nozzles.
Figure (b) shows a "Female" type of standard cap where the cap or nozzle has a hole and needs to fit onto a valve stem of the can.
Original Standard Cap (black & white)
These caps ship standard on all Montana Colors spraycans. These "standard caps" have a soft spray, not allowing any hard edges or lines to be painted, but good for painting hardware goods around your household, like your bike, lawn furniture, or small objects.
Universal Cap
Very clean & crisp lines possible with this cap.
Skinny Pro Cap
Very skinny lines possible with this cap. Very versatile.
Pink Dot Fatcap
Both caps here show a "Pink Dot" in the holed nozzle area. The black colored version is made by the German Montana Cans company. Either work on any can brand.
New York (NY) FatCap
A wider spray, but soft distribution of paint, comes out of this NY Fatcap. The area of spraypaint is similar to the Pink Dot fatcap.
Lego Cap
Often used instead of the "Universal Cap," this cap was coined due to it looking like the little heads from Lego people. This cap also looks & feels exactly like a NYC FatCap, but itʻs yellow. The soft distribution of paint comes out just like a NYC FatCap, but the area of spray is smaller.
Astro Fatcap
This cap sprays the biggest area. Depending on what can is being used (Ie. a can with high pressure), the area of spray can sometimes be as wide as 6 inches! The same size and spray comes out of a similar cap called the "Hardcore Fat" which looks the same as the "Astro," but it is a flourscent orange colored cap.
Below are samples of the line quality that result from spraying the above caps/nozzles. This diagram photo below was made by the Montana Colors (MTN) spraypaint company.
