Add a Website Address

If you have the website address that lets you view a persons trail on either the Spot or DeLorme/Garmin websites, you can use the website address to quickly add a tracking device in Spot Buddy.

Spot websites are referred to as Shared Pages and inReach websites are called MapShares.

I have a Sharing Website Address

In Spot Buddy, ensure you are viewing the map screen. Tap the Menu button and select the Trackers option. You will see a list of configured trackers. It may be empty if you haven't added any trackers yet.

Now, follow these steps:

• Tap the + button located in the top right corner of the screen. A list of options will appear.
• Select Add Using Website Address. The Add Tracker screen will appear.
• Enter a name in the Tracker Name field. You can enter anything you like but don't leave it empty.
• Enter the website address in the Website Address field. Rather than typing it, it is recommended that you copy and paste it so to avoid making a mistake.
• Enter the Password if one was provided to you. Otherwise leave it empty.
• Tap the Save button. You will then return to the Trackers screen and the tracker name should be visible.
• Tap the Done button to return to the map screen.
• You should now notice the tracker in the list at the bottom of the map screen. Tap on it and you should see the trail on the map.
