Usage of SPOT and inReach Data

Spot Buddy reads GPS position messages retrieved from SPOT LLC. and Garmin over the Internet. These messages are stored on your iOS device in a database so that the features of plotting them on a map and showing a track log history can be provided to you. The messages are not used for any other purpose and are not transmitted anywhere and are not accessible to the Spot Buddy developer.

Usage of Current Location Data

If you choose to enable the built-it tracker, or enable the feature to show distance and bearing to another tracker, the internal GPS is enabled so that Spot Buddy can obtain your current location. Your current location may be stored in an internal database that is only accessible by the Spot Buddy app. Your saved GPS locations are not transmitted anywhere nor are they accessible to the Spot Buddy developer.
