CTSO: HOSA
Throughout all sports medicine courses we will be utilizing resources that support our CTSO; HOSA. This is a national organization that helps promote leadership and technical skills. We will use HOSA skill competencies throughout our program to help with motivation, awareness and recognition which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program. Information about HOSA will be given in the beginning of the year and will be implemented through multiple units during sports medicine1/2-5/6 curriculum. HOSA is a nationally recognized leadership association that encourages any student who wants to go into any aspect of the medical filed and learn from their advisors in their classes as well as others at HOSA yearly events. Here you will meet other students in AZ, have opportunities for scholarships, and opportunities to compete in a wide range of topics from medical terminology to writing essays on specific topics. It is a great opportunity and anyone in sports medicine this year or previous years can be apart of this group.
As advisors we get to take you to Fall leadership Conference, State leadership and International Leadership if you qualify in your tested event. We also plan events in the classroom as well as off campus as an enrichment part to our program.
