Introduction:
Happy sunshine Beautiful Souls -
I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Danielle and I am a Holistic Health and wellness practitioner with certifications and degrees in psychology, journalism, behavioral health, and multiple movement therapies such as yoga and Zumba 🙂. In yoga I like to mix modalities much like I do in behavioral health.
Mudras, Tui Shou, Healing stones, frequency tones, sound bowls, incense and aromas, breath work, meditation are all great aspects that fit in perfectly with yoga but also offer additional healing and growth support. I came along this path due to being a sickly child who was diagnosed with liver failure resulting from autoimmune sclerosing colongitis at 8 years old that they only found because I had my gallbladder removed from having gallstones at the age of just 7. I lived in Henry Ford Hospital in Downtown Detroit and I was lucky to have nurses and doctors with such beautiful souls. However, when I got my transplant 10 years before they said at the age of 18 and tried to put me through the same ringer of medications I really started to question what I already had been since childhood. There has to be another way.
Through CBT, BT, Fitness, Yoga Therapy and Ayurvedic consultation I found the way. I no longer need to take immunosuppressants to make my liver regulate and function without trying to eat itself, my arthritis that I’ve had since the age of 12 because of high doses of prednisone doesn’t bother me most days and I’m better able to regulate my own emotions and mental health; therefore building my own happiness and definition of success. This is only the medical side of my story there is a deep spiritual side as well but I feel like this already super long and we can save that for another day. Also, disclaimer: I had a living donor for my transplant, my beautiful saint of a mother. So, do not just quit taking your medicine! It takes research and time to find what natural remedies work for you and pair it with western medicine. I hope all of you are having a beautiful start to your week and I hope to see you all out in the community and online living your best and most well lives.
