A: It will stop automatically if not actively used for an hour. The time is configurable in settings. Long press on the app screen to show the Settins option and update the auto-stop time.
Or stop it with a long-press on the app screen and click Stop.

The new release of the app should be updated automatilally when the watch is charging and connected to the phone with WiFi or Bluetooth.
