Language Skills

Talking to and reading to or with your child or your child reading to you helps improve their expressive and receptive language skills.

As you engage with books, have your child practice their language skills by: answering questions about the story, retelling parts or the entire story, creating new endings for the story, telling which character they like/don't like, telling which character they are like or which character you are like, have them name objects and places, and learn new vocabulary.
