Begin Recruiting Partners and Coaches June 12-July 14 (Area programs recruit athletes, Coaches and Partners)
Secure Practice Facilities June 12-July 14 (Area programs secure practice facilities and check
equipment)
Athlete, Coaches and Partner Registration Date on or Before JULY 10 (Area Programs conduct a one-night registration
event for all athletes, coaches, and partners. All paperwork should be
completed and turned in to the Area Director. Area director shares the
training Rosters with State Office within 3 days.)
Area Coaches Meeting to organize season July 10-21 (Area Sports Director meets with all coaches to organize the
season.)
Certification and Paperwork Clean up July 10-21 (Area Directors work with SOND to ensure all necessary
paperwork is complete for all athletes, coaches, and partners)
Practice Starting Date: July 24, 2023 (ONLY athletes, coaches, and partners with all paperwork
filed with SOND are eligible to participate in practices)
Team and Athlete numbers to the state office August 7 (Area Programs submit the expected number of teams/participants
for the State Tournaments to the state office)
Training School Target Dates: July 10 – August 10 (TBD)
Area Tournaments: August 7 – August 13 (tournament host will send results to SOND office
within 3 days.)
Area Tournament Results due August 16
District Tournaments: August 14 - August 20 (tournament host will send results to SOND office
within 3 days.)
Bocce and Soccer Assessments Due August 20 (must be in the SOND office)
District Tournament Results due August 23
State Tournaments Entry Deadline: August 25 (must be in the SOND office)
State Tournament: GRAND FORKS September 16-17, 2023

15 total games must be bowled for an athlete to qualify for the State Bowling Tournament. (12 games
completed by Oct 20 and the remaining three by Oct 25th.)
State Tournament: MANDAN & FARGO November 5, 2023
Winter Games: Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Unified Volleyball January 2-February 25, 2024

8 Week Season: January 2-February 25
Area Games: January 29-February 4
District Games (required for State participants): February 5-February 11

State Winter Games: Valley City February 24-25, 2024
(Saturday: Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing athletes can enter up to two events on Saturday)
(Sunday: Volleyball Athletes/partners can only be on one team)
