On June 23, 1965, Houston police were asked to check on elderly couple Fred Rogers (81) and Edwina Rogers (72) after neighbors noticed they hadn’t been seen for days. The officers entered their small home at 1815 Driscoll Street and found the refrigerator filled with what appeared to be cuts of butchered meat, neatly wrapped. At first, police assumed it was hog meat, but then they noticed the human heads in the vegetable crisper.
