I am presenting here different antenna designs suitable for single band operation. Most of them are designed for 20 m band, but you can rescale them for the other band if needed. I have built only a few of them. There are too many of them for a ham with limited resources and limited QTH conditions. The descriptions of the antennas I constructed contain their photographs.
If you decide to build anything based on my designs, please let me know the outcome. I would gladly compare the real world performance with the predictions resulting from the computer simulations.
In my cases, the computer predictions usually agreed quite well with the real implementations. But sometimes I had problems. Once it was common-mode current in the feed line connected to the unbalanced antenna, the other time, I neglected to simulate a metallic fence under the antenna. It turned out that the fence changed antenna impedance (and SWR) significantly. So, I can not guarantee that every design will work in your specific conditions as predicted in the idealized model. However, my general conclusion is: modeling antennas before building them is the best approach.
