Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your download, access to and use of the Soz mobile application (“Soz”, the “App”, or the “Service”), operated by Ruslan Burnashev (“I”, “me”, or “my”).
Please read these Terms carefully before using Soz. By downloading, accessing or using Soz, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.
Use of the Service
Soz is a language-learning application that provides free basic functionality and premium content and services available through one-time purchases or subscription plans.
You may use Soz only in compliance with these Terms, applicable laws, app-store rules and the rights of other persons.
If you are under the age of legal majority in your country, you may use Soz only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Soz is not directed to children under 13 years of age, or a higher minimum age where required by applicable law.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to install and use Soz on devices that you own or control, in accordance with the rules of Google Play, the Apple App Store and applicable law.
Soz is licensed, not sold, to you. No ownership rights in the App or its content are transferred to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or any part of it. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to extract the source code, bypass security measures or create derivative works from the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law or permitted by an applicable open-source license.
Accounts and Authentication
Some Soz features can be used without an account. Features such as cloud backup, synchronization and restoration of learning progress may require you to sign in using Google or Apple.
You are responsible for maintaining control over your device, Google or Apple account and access to your Soz account. You must promptly notify me if you believe that your Soz account or device has been accessed without authorization.
You may not create or use an account for fraudulent, unlawful or abusive purposes, impersonate another person or interfere with another user’s access to the Service.
Premium Content, Purchases and Subscriptions
Soz may offer premium content through one-time purchases, renewable subscriptions, non-renewable subscriptions, free trials, introductory offers or promotional offers.
The available product, subscription period, price, currency, billing frequency, trial period and included benefits are displayed in the App and by the applicable app store before you confirm a purchase. The terms displayed during the purchase process form part of these Terms.
Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. I do not directly receive or store your complete payment-card or bank-account details.
Subscriptions may automatically renew for another billing period unless canceled before the end of the current subscription period in accordance with the rules and deadlines of the applicable app store. Your app-store account will be charged according to the price and billing period shown when you subscribe.
If a subscription includes a free or discounted trial, it may automatically convert into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before the deadline shown by the applicable app store. Eligibility for trials and promotional offers is determined by the applicable app store and may be limited to eligible users.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions using your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

Deleting the Soz App or deleting your Soz account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through the applicable app store.
After cancellation, premium access may remain available until the end of the paid billing period, unless the purchase is refunded, revoked or otherwise handled differently by the applicable app store or applicable law.
Refund requests are handled according to the refund rules of Google Play, the Apple App Store and applicable consumer law. Contact the applicable app store to request or check eligibility for a refund.
Prices and subscription benefits may change in the future due to changes in content, features, operating costs, inflation, taxes, exchange rates, platform fees or other legitimate business reasons. Where required, the applicable app store will provide advance notice and request your approval before a price increase takes effect. You may cancel your subscription before a new price takes effect.
Cloud Backup and Synchronization
If you sign in and use cloud synchronization, Soz may create cloud backups of your profile, settings and learning progress.
Cloud synchronization is intended to help restore your progress or use it across supported devices. It is not a permanent archival or file-storage service.
Soz may maintain a limited rotating set of backup snapshots. Older backups may be replaced or deleted when newer backups are uploaded.
Although reasonable measures are used to protect and maintain cloud backups, uninterrupted synchronization, permanent storage or successful restoration cannot be guaranteed. You should not use Soz as the only storage location for information that is important to you.
Synchronization and restoration may fail because of connectivity problems, incompatible App or database versions, account problems, third-party service interruptions, device limitations or other technical circumstances.
Account and Data Deletion
You may permanently delete your Soz account through the account section of the App.
You can initiate account deletion by opening Soz, going to Profile, opening Account and selecting Delete account.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your Soz account, authentication session, account information and associated cloud backups will be deleted, except for limited information that may need to be retained under applicable law or for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or financial record-keeping.
Deleting your Soz account does not cancel an active Google Play or Apple App Store subscription and does not delete your Google or Apple account.
User Input and Content
Soz may allow you to enter names, answers, sentences, words, translations or other text and to submit microphone audio for speech-recognition features.
You retain your rights in content that you provide. You grant permission to process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain and improve the requested features, subject to the Privacy Policy.
You must not use Soz to submit illegal, harmful, abusive, infringing or malicious content. You should not enter confidential, highly sensitive or personally identifying information into translation, answer-analysis or other free-text fields.
Speech Recognition, Translation and Automated Analysis
Soz may use third-party services, including Microsoft Azure Speech, Google translation services and OpenAI services, to provide speech recognition, translation and automated answer analysis.
Automated translations, speech-recognition results, explanations and answer evaluations may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for a particular context. You are responsible for reviewing results before relying on them.
Soz is an educational aid. It does not guarantee fluency, academic results, examination results, employment outcomes or any official language qualification.
Internet Connection and Device Requirements
Some features require an active internet connection. The connection may be provided through Wi-Fi or your mobile network.
You are responsible for mobile-data charges, roaming charges and other fees imposed by your internet or telecommunications provider. If you are not the person responsible for paying for the device or connection, you confirm that you have permission from that person to use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, supported operating system, sufficient storage space, internet access and battery power.
Third-Party Services and Links
Soz relies on or may provide links to third-party services, including Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, OpenAI, YouTube and app-store payment services.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. I do not control and am not responsible for the availability, content, security, accuracy or practices of third-party services.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Soz, including the terms of Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Privacy
Your use of Soz is also governed by the Soz Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored and shared.

Intellectual Property
Soz, including its source code, design, interface, databases, graphics, text, exercises, lessons, audio, trademarks and other original content, is owned by Ruslan Burnashev or used under an applicable license.
All copyright, trademark, database and other intellectual-property rights are reserved.
Third-party names, trademarks, content and services remain the property of their respective owners.
Acceptable Use
You must not use Soz in a way that violates applicable law, infringes another person’s rights, interferes with the Service or creates an unreasonable security or technical risk.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, databases, backups or other systems connected to Soz. You must not introduce malware, automate abusive requests, circumvent payment or access controls, manipulate subscription status or use the Service to commit fraud.
Updates and Changes to the Service
Soz may be updated from time to time to add, modify or remove features, fix errors, improve security or maintain compatibility with operating systems and third-party services.
You may need to install updates to continue using the App. I do not guarantee that Soz will remain compatible with every device or operating-system version.
Features, free content, premium content, technical requirements and third-party integrations may change over time. Material changes affecting paid subscriptions will be communicated where required by applicable law or app-store rules.
Suspension and Termination
I may suspend or terminate access to Soz if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create a security risk, engage in fraud or if suspension is required by law or a platform provider.
Where reasonably possible and appropriate, you may be given notice or an opportunity to correct a violation before termination.
I may discontinue all or part of the Service. Where discontinuation materially affects an active paid subscription, it will be handled in accordance with applicable law and app-store requirements.
When your right to use Soz ends, you must stop using the App. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual-property, warranty, liability and dispute provisions, will remain effective.
Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties
Reasonable efforts are made to keep Soz useful, secure and available. However, uninterrupted, error-free or permanent operation cannot be guaranteed.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Soz is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in your jurisdiction.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ruslan Burnashev will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, opportunities, data or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use Soz.
I am not responsible for failures caused by your device, internet connection, mobile provider, app store, authentication provider or another third-party service outside my reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Applicable Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by applicable law.
If mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country provide rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract, those rights continue to apply and take priority over conflicting provisions of these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to Soz, subscriptions, third-party services, legal requirements or business practices.
Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where required, material changes may also be communicated through the App.
Your continued use of Soz after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires separate notice or consent.
