In addition to operating out of the Southside Community Center on a biweekly basis (the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 6:00PM - 9:00PM), we may organize biannual traveling clinics outside of Ithaca as staffing allows. Past Southside Traveling Clinic locations include Brooklyn, Queens, Albany, Buffalo, Binghamton, Syracuse, Rochester, Utica, Troy, and Onondaga Nation.
Low-income residents are defined as those whose income falls within twice the poverty line as federally defined for their household size. Proof of income (EBT Cards, Pay Stubs, W2 Forms, Social Security Disability, Medicaid, etc.) is required. The cost of a Traveling Clinic visit, including a physical examination, vaccinations, preventative medicine, non-specific diagnostics, and other procedures is $30 per pet; microchips are also available for an additional $10. Proceeds of the Southside Traveling Clinic go towards the location where the clinic takes place as well as paying for student transportation to the location.
We seek out and appreciate local veterinarians that choose to participate in our clinic and act as mentors. If you are interested in attending , please do not hesitate to contact us.
