Mission Statement
The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a parent-driven volunteer organization that connects Southport Elementary School to our students, families, staff, and community. We provide support to offset funding shortages, strive to provide resources and enrichment programs, and aspire to ensure a high-quality education for all students and teachers from Pre-K through 8th grade.
We believe involved parents help our Ducks soar!
What We Do
The PTO provides resources and enrichment programs for all students and staff at Southport Elementary School from Pre-K through 8th grade based on donations and fundraising. We are a 501(c)(3) charity organization, and all of our resources, monetary and otherwise, support our mission.
Our volunteer network provides volunteers for school-focused events and an increased awareness of school programs. Ultimately we strive to use our resources wisely and equitably to enrich the student, faculty, and staff experience at Southport Elementary School. Our programs typically fall under three categories:
Community & Spirit Building Events
Educational & Enrichment
Financial Resources
We encourage you to join a committee and help however you can.
