• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

• 0830 - Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still off S end of the dam.

LNY - Eurasian Hobby - Groby Pool - yesterday morning.

Wednesday - 15/04/26

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 4 inc 3 drk & a female still.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - 1 still by S end of the dam.

Tuesday - 14/04/26

• Caspian Gull - Wanlip Meadows LRWT - 1w briefly on the scrape then headed S.

Monday - 13/04/26

• Blue-headed Wagtail - Rutland Water NR - by S end of the dam.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 2 still.

• 1524 - Whinchat - Swithland Reservoir - male from crossover gates at Kinchley Lane.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - 1 still by S end of the dam.

Sunday - 12/04/26

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 4 inc 2 drk still.

• Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - female still in the field with the iron gate.

• Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - 2 still in the field with the iron gate.

• Whinchat - Bradgate Park - male still on flats W of ruins , use Hunts Hill cp at w3w

Saturday - 11/04/26

1140 - Arctic Tern - Rutland Water NR - 2 at Burley Fishponds *1143 x5 from Oakham Road

Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - male still in field with iron gate then flew to hawthorn *1239 male showing well

• Whinchat - Bradgate Park - male on flats W of ruins , use Hunts Hill cp at w3w

• 1124 - Arctic Tern - Rutland Water NR - 5 through North Arm from Barnsdale cp.

Friday - 10/04/26

Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - male still in field with iron gate *1441

• 0830 - Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - 2 still with 1 in North Arm off Barnsdale & 1 off S end of the dam.

Thursday - 09/04/26

Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - 2 in field with iron gate *1324 x2/m

• Pied Flycatcher - Lutterworth - male at Misterton Marshes then flew into area with no public access.

• Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - 4 inc 2/m in field with iron gate rgis afternoon.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 5 inc 3 drk still.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

Wednesday - 08/04/26

• 1850 - Common Cuckoo - Charnwood Lodge NR - singing male.

• Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - female still in field with iron gate.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - at least 5 still.

• ❗ Garganey - Ketton - report of 2 at Ketton Quarry NR on 05/04/26 has been withdrawn.

• Little Gull - Eyebrook Reservoir - ad.

• Reed Warbler - Stanford Reservoir (po) - singing male.

• 0650 - Osprey - Melton Mowbray - over B676 near new ring road heading N.

Tuesday - 07/04/26

🟡BTO Walks 1030 - Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - drk & female also at least 3 Yellow Wagtail. 

• Little Gull - Rutland Water NR - 3 at Lagoon 3 this evening.

• 1605 - Eurasian Spoonbill - Eyebrook Reservoir - at the inflow then headed N at 1645.

• 1515 - Little Gull - Rutland Water NR - ad still at Lagoon 3.

• Common Whitethroat - Ibstock - singing male at brickworks (private site) this afternoon.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 9 still inc 4 drk & 5 female.

• 1156 - Common Crane - Eyebrook Reservoir - 1 lingering over Stoke Dry cp then headed SW at 1210

• 0800 - Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - male still in field along main path at w3w

LNY - Eurasian Stone-curlew - Croft - 1 sound-recorded overhead early yesterday morning.  

Monday - 06/04/26

Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - still in field with iron gate *1021 . *1549

• 1707 - Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still by S end of the dam.

• Yellow Wagtail - Eyebrook Reservoir - 1.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 11 inc 4 drk & 7 female.

• ☹️ Eurasian Spoonbill - Watermead CP - no further sign from Plover Hide by 1150.

• 0950 - Osprey - Aylestone - over N.

• 1029 - Eurasian Spoonbill - Watermead CP - still from Plover Hide.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

• Eurasian Spoonbill - Watermead CP - from Plover Hide.

Sunday - 05/04/26

Ring Ouzel - Warren Hills - in field with iron gate *0847 still in cattle field . *1120 in field with iron gate

• 1506 - Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

• 1425 - Caspian Gull - Cropston Reservoir - 2w near barrel.

• Garganey - Ketton - 2 inc a drk at Ketton Quarry NR.

• 0949 - Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 12 inc 4 drk still.

• Osprey - Stanford Reservoir (po) - over W.

Saturday - 04/04/26

• 1752 - Little Stint - Rutland Water NR - ad still at Lagoon 3.

• Sedge Warbler - Rutland Water NR - singing male at Lagoon 3.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 8 inc 4 drk still.

• 🟠 Tree Pipit - Charnwood Lodge NR - in private area.

• 0913 - Little Gull - Rutland Water NR - ad at Lagoon 3.

Friday - 03/04/26

• Yellow Wagtail - Empingham - over Empingham Meadows heading towards the dam.

• 1450 - Red-breasted Merganser - Rutland Water NR - drk & female at South Arm 1 from Goldeneye Hide.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - 9 inc 3 drk & 6 female.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still off S end of the dam also 1w/drk Common Scoter.

• Red-breasted Merganser - Rutland Water NR - 2 off N end of the dam.

Thursday - 02/04/26

• ® Caspian Gull - Holme Pierrepont - at least 2 reported at Blotts Pit.

• Greater Scaup - Eyebrook Reservoir - drk still this afternoon.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still off the dam this evening also 1w/drk Common Scoter.

• Eurasian Goshawk - Bradgate Park - female again from Raptor Viewpoint , use Hunts Hill cp (pay & display) at w3w walk uphill & view from grassy area below War Memorial at w3w walk uphill to view from grassy area below War Memorial, please be respectful & do not enter private woods that overlooks the viewpoint.

• Red-necked Grebe - Rutland Water NR - still in North Arm.
