Fine Arts Diploma Seal

DIPLOMA SEAL

Fine Arts Diploma Seal

The creative industries are a 29 billion dollar sector of Georgia's economy and employ more than 200,000 arts professionals. The goal of the Fine Arts Diploma Seal is to create students who are prepared for college and career in these fine arts related industries.

The Fine Arts Diploma Seal is a signal to employers and higher education institutions that a student is prepared to participate in Georgia's robust creative industry sector.

AFTER you have read all of the above, you should begin thinking about your Capstone Presentation.

Your presentation is outlined here:

Current South Cobb High School Seniors interested in receiving the Fine Arts Diploma Seal in 2017 will deliver an oral technology based presentation reflecting on the knowledge gained during their high school fine arts studies. Students may present individually or as a part of a team no larger than three members. Teams can prepare a single presentation; all members are required to present. Presentations will include information about extracurricular activities, in-class learning, and community service projects. Presentations will be delivered during a forum in front of a panel of community and teacher leaders in March of 2017. All Capstone presentations will be evaluated using a rubric developed by the South Cobb Fine Arts Department.

Prepare your electronic visual (Power Point, Prezi, etc.) with the following question in mind:

How have your fine arts studies and activities impacted your world view? Have your experiences changed the way you intend to pursue your future? How well you understand the world around you? Your ability to work in a diverse environment to high standards? The most defining (memorable) moment you have had within the arts, and how it has shaped you.
