Unity Ceremonies:
A unity ceremony is a symbolic moment woven into your wedding that represents two lives becoming one. It can be spiritual, cultural, playful, or deeply personal. Some couples choose one, some choose several, and some create something entirely new.

Below are some of the unity ceremonies I offer. If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask! I love building custom moments that are meaningful to you.

Cord Binding (handfasting-inspired)
Your hands are bound together with a cord, symbolizing the joining of your lives. This is a beautiful symbolic moment woven into your wedding ceremony, inspired by the handfasting tradition.

*Please note that this is not a full handfasting ceremony, which includes circle casting, calling the quarters, and a complete pagan ritual experience. If you're interested in a full handfasting, check out the Handfasting Ceremony package on our Ceremonies & Pricing page!

Candle Lighting
Two individual flames brought together to light one unified candle, representing the merging of two lives and families.

Sand Ceremony
Each partner pours colored sand into a shared vessel, creating a layered, one-of-a-kind keepsake that can never be separated.

Ring Warming
Your rings are passed among your guests before the ceremony, each person silently sending their love and blessings into the rings you'll wear forever.

Crystal Blessing
Crystals are selected and charged with intention for your union. Performed by a certified Reiki Master, this is a deeply spiritual experience rooted in energy work and love.

Wine or Mead Sharing
Sharing a drink from the same cup, an ancient tradition symbolizing the promise to share all of life's sweetness and bitterness together.

Oathing Stone
The couple holds a stone during their vows, grounding their promises in the earth. The stone becomes a keepsake charged with the energy of your commitment.

Quaich Ceremony
A Scottish tradition where the couple shares a drink from a two-handled cup, symbolizing trust and the joining of two families.

Memory Candle
A candle lit in honor of loved ones who are no longer with us, keeping their presence felt on your special day.

Memorial Table Blessing
A spoken blessing over a table honoring those who have passed, acknowledging their love and legacy as part of your celebration.

Jumping the Broom
A joyful tradition where the couple leaps over a broom together, symbolizing sweeping away the old and crossing into a new life together. Custom decorated brooms available.

Breaking the Glass
A powerful moment where a glass is shattered underfoot, symbolizing the fragility of life, the permanence of this commitment, or a joyful shout of celebration.

Tree Planting
Together you plant a sapling, a living symbol of your growing love. Care for it through the years and watch it grow alongside your marriage.
