Below are two examples of coursework meant to demonstrate my language proficiency. The essay on the left was written for a course I took on Medieval literature in Montpellier and concerns the important imagery & themes present in the variety of relevant readings done throughout the semester.
On the right is a short paper I wrote for a direct-enrollment history course at UPV on the topic of the Franco-Prussian War.
Language does not exist in a vacuum and, as such, the two documents below are focused on various aspects of french culture. On the left is my final paper, concerning the roles of women in medieval literature, I wrote for a French Medieval literature course offered through University of Minnesota in Montpellier.
In addition, I have included a research poster I produced, in conjuction with Dr Touya, the summer before my freshman year of college comparing the rise of populism in the United States, France, and Hungary.
To the left is a research poster for the economic research I worked on throughout my undergraduate career. I worked with another student to collect and understand relevant data, research papers, natural experiments, in order to form a better foundation for the application of GBI (guaranteed basic income) to a rural setting.
Additionally, to the right I have included an essay I wrote for my course on economic questions in the European Union. Building on the research I did prior to freshman year, I chose to focus on the economic impacts of the rise of populism in France.
