While I was fortunate to be involved in a variety of organizations on campus related to outreach within the community, one of the most impactful for me was my involvement in Alpha Phi Omega, APO, a national service fraternity. During my Junior year, 2024, I rushed the fraternity as a way to get further involved in my community after returning from my year abroad and found an incredible support system that enabled me to give back in a tangible way through regular service. With a focus on leadership, friendship, and service, APO has encouraged and enabled the formation of a community based upon mutual respect and aid.Â
From before my first semester at Clemson in 2021, I was encouraged by Dr Eric Touya to engage with the French Professional Society at Clemson and I eventually served as president. The purpose of this organization is to connect students interested in the intersection of french language and international opportunities with professionals and information in relevant fields.
