For this project, we had to share at least one example of 4 different types of digital media (image/graphic, animation, audio, and video) and source them correctly. I decided to stay with a consistent theme of cats.
I found this image by searching "cat" on Creative Commons' website. This image is sourced from Wikimedia Commons by the author Florinux, and I did not make any changes to it. It is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License, which states:
"You are free:
to share – to copy, distribute and transmit the work
to remix – to adapt the work
Under the following conditions:
attribution – You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
share alike – If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same or compatible license as the original."
I also found this image through Creative Commons, and it is again from Wikimedia Commons. The author is ASSYAD. I did not make any changes to it. It's licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license, which states:
"You are free:

I found this audio file through Freesound. The author is tuberatanka and the title is "cat meow." This file is licensed under the Creative Commons 0 License, which states:

I found this video on YouTube. It's titled "Cat Tales | Full Documentary | NOVA | PBS" and it is from NOVA PBS Official's YouTube channel. The video description doesn't have any licensing info, and I can't find anything on PBS's website. The description does say that this documentary is copyrighted by the WGBH Educational Foundation, but I can't find any information about a usage policy on their website either. The description states:
"© 2022 WGBH Educational Foundation

This program was produced by GBH, which is solely responsible for its content. Some funders of NOVA also fund basic science research. Experts featured in this film may have received support from funders of this program. Funding for NOVA is provided by Brilliant.org, the David H. Koch Fund for Science, the NOVA Science Trust, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS viewers."
I learned how important it is to correctly credit media that you find online. I also learned about the different kinds of licenses under the Creative Commons.
