2025 Tournament Schedule
Note: Walnut Creek Golf Preserve staff is organizing the Club Championship, October 11-12.
Saturday and Sunday at the Broadlands Golf Course.
Stroke play individual flighted. Flights will be determined based on player mix and indexes on 8/27/2025. (100% of Index)
We cancelled the 4 man best ball event due to lack of sign ups. These are tee times we were able to book last Saturday so you have the option of walking or riding and the green fee you will take care of at the course the morning of play.
I will randomly pair players within flight and will pair players within flight if possible (may have odd numbers that would necessitate pairing with a flight above or below) so no request for playing partners will be honored.
The Format - 2 man shamble - teams will both tee off and will use the best drive. From that point on each man will play his own ball until hole completion. Handicaps cannot be more than a 10 stroke difference (i.e. player A is a 5.2 and player B is a 17.1, player B will play to a 15.2) We will also be using 80% of your handicap.
This will not be flighted, we will have payouts for both Gross and Net teams so choose your playing partner accordingly if you have your eye set on one or the other. As always scratch to single digit handicaps will play the #2 tees and handicaps of 10 and higher will play the 3 tees. Players over the age of 60 can choose to play one box forward if they want to and the handicap will adjust accordingly. Cost will be $150 per player which includes (green fee, cart and payouts) Tee times will be assigned once the field is established. The first group out will be at 8:00am and the final group if a full field of 60 players will 10:20am.
The format - Individual stroke play flighted, indexes up to 9.9 play from the #2 tees anyone 10.0 or higher will play from the 3's. If you are over 60 you have the option to play different tees/combos and your course handicap will adjust based on the tees played.
