The Song Lab was excited to welcome Prameela, our first team member, as a Senior Research Technician!

January 2026

Song kicked off the new year as an invited speaker for the VS7950 Seminar Series, presenting on ocular gene therapy at the school of Optometry

March 2026

Vineet joined the Song Lab as an undergraduate research contributor.

April 2026

• Song and collaborator Dr. Mengying Hu were awarded a GTI Pilot Award.

• Song delivered a lecture at the College of Veterinary Medicine on gene therapy.

• Song presented the AAV Atlas at the Annual Gene Therapy Symposium

May 2026

• Welcome Ruoyan, who joined the Song Lab as a Research Technician!

• An exciting week at ASGCT! Song served as an invited session moderator and gave a talk on AAV capsid engineering at ASGCT annual meeting.

• The Song Lab received an ARVO EyeFind Research Grant to support our vision research.
