Further Information

In 2022, our ninth year at the ENERGUS venue at Lillyhall we showcased a wide range of Railway Modelling, Model Engineering, Computer Simulation, spanning all the major scales and gauges together with support from Workington Model Engineers and several local societies. Layouts came from as far away as Spalding and it was nice to welcome the prestigeous "Fencehouses" 2mm finescale layout from Chester-le-Street along with several other finescale layouts from the North West.

Energus is easy to find, with ample free parking, and ground level access from Blackwood Road, Lillyhall. Stylish, bright, comfortable venue we are really excited about being able to bring you a superb selection from the best railway modelling in the North West. Energus provide a wide ranging, high quality catering service in comfortable and pleasant surroundings.

The Workington Exhibition is unique, having a giant sized video wall showing videos and photographic slide collections with a local theme throughout the weekend. We had some gremlins in 2022 which we were unable to resolve but hopefully it will be back in service for 2023.

We enjoy an enviable reputation for presenting a wide range of working model railways and friendly demonstrations of modelling techniques such as track making, tree making, locomotive and wagon kit building, and digital command control. We aim to represent all the popular scales, together with model engineering, computer simulation (railworks), traditional and heritage model railways through to the latest digital equipment. We are grateful for the support of local businesses and volunteers, but most of all we appreciate the support of our visitors who come back to see us year after year.

We are united in our goal to ensure that the model railway exhibition in Workington grows from strength to strength and continues as a regular showcase for the hobby.

Ours is a family show. We encourage family groups which is why we do not charge an entry fee for accompanied children.
