Dear participants,

We are very close to start our training session on DSM.

The first session is an introductory course on DSM using the open source software R. We will go through the whole DSM workflow, from working with point observations (soil profiles) to export a raster file with predictions and uncertainty.

The second session is an introduction to Google Earth Engine. This platform has a series of features that can make DSM faster without the need of a powerful computer.

We will go through the same DSM workflow, mostly using Google's infrastructure.

In order to save time and avoid problems during that day, please:

1.- Bring your own laptop.

2.- For the R session, try to install R (https://www.r-project.org) and RStudio (https://www.rstudio.com) before that day.

3.- Install QGIS.

4.- For the Earth Engine session, request access to use the platform by submitting this form: https://signup.earthengine.google.com. In the comment just mention "Digital Soil Mapping training (José Padarian)". Please do this ASAP because it usually takes 3-4 days to get the approval.
