please feel free to ask hauntaholic.msp (windows) or gutzparty.msp2 (mac) ANY questions, we are happy to help <3
They appear at the very top of your screen, formatted in the Mac style, just like other settings for applications on Mac.
Right click or two-finger click (Mac), and enable SSL proxying on the us.mspapis.com link that IS showing up. Once you refresh MSP2 and login again, the blue lightning link will appear towards the bottom.
Try installing the Charles root certificate again, make sure that it is being placed in the right location according to the tutorial. For Mac users, google how to trust a root certificate and how to add it to your keychain.
FOR LONG-TIME SOFTERS: It's likely that your root certificate expired. Navigate to Help > SSL Proxying > Reset Charles Root Certificate. Reset the root certificate and reinstall a new one as shown in the original soft rare tutorial.
Make sure that SSL proxying is enabled (the red dot in the same topbar as the breakpoints stop-sign), and make sure when you rightclick (two-finger click on Mac) on the moviestarplanet.com or us.mspapis.com links, that SSL proxying is enabled (it should say Disable SSL proxying).
If you are getting an error in your browser that Moviestarplanet.com is unsafe or may be trying to steal your information, simply press advanced and trust the website.
This glitch happens when something in your JSON text isn't formatted right. You may have put an extra comma in your color codes or accidentally put a space.
For older accounts, you may just need to be patient, and your account will load in after a few minutes. Slow login times are tied to how many items your account has, and MSP2 is slow in general on the computer compared to mobile.
Ever since the Dress Up update, you will need to press your dressing room/wardrobe to get the profileinventory breakpoint to appear. Just treat everything the same, as if the breakpoint just comes a little bit later now.
This glitch happens because the item code that you edited is in the same category as the code that you are replacing.
When you do soft rares, you are pulling your account's actual inventory, and you are temporarily replacing one of your items with a soft rare code.
Let's say that you wanted to soft rare XO lips. You have your unedited JSON text in front of you, and replace the first code you see with the XO lips code. But, the code that you replaced is the code to the Galaxy lips you just got! The soft rare will still place, but once you save, it will be gone the next time you log in since the items are the same category (tag_lips).
You can combat the likelihood of this happening by looking at the code you are about to replace, and searching that code in the full items list using CTRL + F or CMND + F. Look at the tags of the item you are about to replace, and think of what type of item you are wanting to soft rare. If you are wanting to place XO pants, but the code in your inventory that you just looked up shows that it is tagged tag_bottoms, move onto another chunk of code (another item).
To keep it simple on your own account, just buy a shop item that is a different category than what you are about to place. If you want to soft rare XO lips, go to the shop and buy a random shirt or hair. The new items you buy will show up at the top of the unedited JSON text when you pull it again (when you do the process again). If you want to place several items at once, like a lips, a dress, an eyes, and a hair, you can just buy a bunch of shop hats or similar.
Take note of the item that your softed item keeps reverting back to, and simply gift that item away.
To prevent this from happening, pull a fresh JSON text between every time that you just saved a soft to the avatar.
Simply gift the item away that keeps showing up. I think that this happens when you try to softrare an item, but the item you are replacing is something that you were wearing.
The Dress Up update has caused some changes for some accounts. If this is happening to you,
Before turning on any breakpoints, log in and go to your home. This will prevent a million profileattributes breakpoints for other users in the same chatroom as you.
Refresh MSP2 and turn on breakpoints settings as usual, then log in.
Continuously edit & execute all JSON text response breakpoints until you fully load in. Do not turn off the breakpoints button after the second time you execute like the tutorial teaches.
Once you load in and your mood has placed, you can turn off the breakpoints button.
This happens because of an MSP-end glitch when pulling profileattributes. When the "Mood:" portion of the JSON text of profileattributes shows up towards the top, simply turn off breakpoints/abort the breakpoints, allow yourself to load into the game, and change your mood to something else. The next time that you try to soft rare the mood, the "Mood:" portion in the JSON text will show up towards the bottom, indicating a good pull that will let your softrared mood stay after logging in again.
Try doing the process again, following every step of the tutorial very closely. This is almost always the result of user error. Make sure that you remember that softed items show up in your inventory, they do not automatically place onto the avatar.
Otherwise, this issue may come up when you are trying to place a code that hasn't been added to MSP2's database yet.
I'm not 100% on the cause of this.
Theory 1: Default moods and emotes such as default, sad, happy, wave, are free for every player and gifted at signup. If you replace the code to default mood with a softrare code, you will receieve a brand new default mood in your inventory in addition to the one already given to you at signup. Do this enough times, you will have tons of duplicate default moods + emotes.
Theory 2: If the JSON text that you pulled even contains default moods + emotes, then placing the edited JSON text will result in duplicates given to you. If you do a quick scroll of the JSON text you are about to copy and edit, and see low number codes in the 1-500s towards the top of the list, then simply press cancel towards the bottom of the breakpoint's main page and wait for the next breakpoint to copy and edit.
Feel free to gift away all of the duplicates, or experiment on your own with deleting chunks of code of default moods + emotes breakpoint by breakpoint (I HAVENT TESTED THIS).
This means that the codes you tried have not been added to the database yet.
If your layered item won't come off, you simply need to layer a different item under the same category. You can re-layer a soft or inventory item (keep profileinventory breakpoints on, just execute past them), and layer it under the same category of the layer you're trying to remove (i.e "backaccessory") then put it on in inventory, save it, then you should be able to go back into shop and take off the new layer, saving your avi's outfit with both layers removed.
