NeuroTransmitiendo is a collective of psychologists, educators, students, and friends committed to communicating neuroscience and scientific psychology in an accessible and transparent way.
Role: I joined the UX team as an intern in 2022 and later took on the role of UX Coordinator, leading research and design efforts until May 2025.
Redesign the website to better align with the goals of the NeuroTransmitiendo team, ensuring that scientific content is communicated clearly, accessibly, and in a way that resonates with a broad, non-specialist audience.
✅ To understand:
Heuristic evaluation of the existing website
Definition of goals in collaboration with the NeuroTransmitiendo team
✅ To define:
Tree Testing to assess information architecture
Analysis of user behavior via Google Analytics and Hotjar
Weekly team meetings for feedback and iteration
Benchmarking of similar platforms
✅ Implementation:
Redesign of the site’s most visited pages: Courses, About Us, Home, and Academic Talks
✅Miro - Figjam
✅Google Analytics
✅Looker Studio
After several meetings, we aligned with the client on a first step: clearly defining their business and communication goals. Based on this, we conducted:
A heuristic analysis to evaluate usability
A Tree Testing to assess and reorganize the site’s information architecture
A Google Analytics review to identify user behavior and key features to highlight
One of the key findings was that over 90% of visitors accessed the website via mobile devices. This insight led us to prioritize a mobile-first redesign of the most visited pages:
Home
Diploma programs
Psychotherapy services
Courses
Next, we performed a competitive and comparative benchmarking analysis of both direct and indirect competitors to gather visual and structural references.
Finally, we redesigned the site to improve content accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.

The redesign led to a significant increase in course sales, with the NeuroDiplomatura enrollment growing by over 50% compared to 2022. Additionally, attendance at academic talks also saw a noticeable boost, reflecting improved user engagement and clearer communication of the offerings.
We redesigned the NeuroTransmitiendo website to highlight the most visited sections and meet users’ needs more effectively. Our strategy focused on simplifying navigation, clarifying content, and improving the overall design and information architecture to enhance user experience and engagement.
