Transform!

What is it?

Transform! is a dynamic, individualized four-day intensive for advanced flutists

designed to recharge and inspire your approach to the flute.

Hosted by Artistic Director Dr. Laurel Swinden Transform! is a program targeted to each individual participants' musical, technical, creative & artistic goals.

Participants communicate their desired areas of focus in advance of the academy

so the week's activities can be planned around these goals.

Each participant has time for focused practice toward their goals in designated rooms for the duration of the academy.

Undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, advanced high school and adult students are welcome.

In a collaborative learning environment, each participant receives daily private lessons, group instruction, and performance coaching. Mix-and-mingle breaks, along with a social outing allow for participants to enjoy each others' company outside the practice and rehearsal room. Chamber music opportunities are available to participants that want to network with other participants.

The program culminates with student performances of solos & chamber music.
