Training on Oceanographic instrumentation at SNOM of Navy, Willingdon Island visited Coastal Engg. Lab of KUFOS

India Navy staff who were undergoing training on Oceanographic instrumentation at SNOM of Navy, Kochi, Willingdon island visited Coastal Engg. Lab of KUFOS to undergo training in indigenously developed ocean technological instruments, as part of their visits to other important oceanographic institutes. They operated different oceanographic instruments kept in live and operational conditions in the lab., and particularly “Portable MEDAS” ( Marine Environmental Data Acquisition System ) which is capable of acquiring 15 different and important oceanographic parameters simultaneously during one single operation, making the coastal and harbor engg. Survey much easier. They operated the instrument around the Panangad area under the guidance of Dr. T. K. Sivadas Visiting Faculty of both KUFOS and SNOM and acquired plenty data directly from the coastal waters, underwent training and operation on different indigenous type oceanographic instruments in KUFOS.
