Taxation Policy

• Expand the tax-free bracket to $20,000.
• Institute more progressive tax rates that help poorer Kiwis.
• Create a progressive business tax tied to revenue.
• Introduce an 85% estate tax on all estates worth over $3m.
• Introduce property tax on churches and other religious buildings.
• Increase the Land Value Tax to 5%, while making sure it does not violate Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Abolish the Goods and Services Tax.
• Create a cap on all bonuses to corporate executives.
• Institute a 10% wealth tax to be assessed annually, and increase inheritance tax rate to 100% past $350000.
• Introduce a luxury tax.
• Remove the capital income tax loophole patch up from the Fifth Parliament and instead implement a full on capital gains tax which is taxed at a higher rate than taxes on labour.

Economic Policy

• Codify union representation into law.
• Reverse privatisation and make state enterprises directly accountable to the Ministry of SOEs, a position which would be restructured.
• Streamline the procedure for the Minister of Lands to expropriate property and do not require compensation.
• Nationalise all electrical services under KiwiPower.
• Nationalise New Zealand’s Internet service providers under KiwiNet.
• Progressive implementation of co-determination until all capital is held by the workers.
• Establish publicly funded strike funds to assist workers in their manifestation of class consciousness.
• Tighten health and safety standards.
• Subsidise transition from dairy to alternate agriculture and encourage diversification of the agriculture sector.
• Create KiwiFood, a nationalised food distribution system.

• Index the living wage to living costs.
• Increase superannuation for elderly Kiwis.
• Give KiwiBank a monopoly on all banking in New Zealand.
• Clamp down on predatory payday loans.
• Reject the anti-union CPTPP.
• Work towards a 4 day working week.
• Ensure all state owned enterprises work in the interest of the people and not for profit.
• Reform the copyright system.

  • Removal of patents on medical equipment and drugs and restrict patents to 1 year.
  • Restrict trademarks to logos, names and slogans only.
  • Abolishment of Plant Variety Rights.
• Establish a training system for those on the unemployment benefit to assist retraining and encourage needed skills.
