The Socialist Alliance commits to working towards the most fair and equitable distribution of wealth based on common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange, and the best obtainable system based on worker control of each industry or service; and commits to following the following three principles in all actions:
All humans are equal, no matter their ethnicity, religion, sexuality, or gender. Each person is therefore deserving of the same treatment under law, in their work lives, in their day to day lives. Each human life is to be respected and not left to face oppression or left to suffer, unable to fulfil their basic needs.
Every person is unique, with their own beliefs and values. Each individual is first and foremost their own person, and as such have different experiences, goals, and ambitions to others. It is then, that each individual be left to fulfil their own self actualisation, free from the interference of government in preventing this.
We as humans are inherently communal. We have from the moment able created societies for the betterment of all members. Humanity for centuries have worked together for better or for worse. It is then, when faced with suffering or oppression we stand together as individuals in solidarity.
