Social Ratios ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Social Ratios mobile app (the "App"), you agree to this policy.

1. Who We Are

2. What We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the App.

Account information you provide

• Name or display name

• Email address

• Date of birth (used to verify you are 21 or older)

• Gender (used to calculate venue ratios in aggregate)

• Profile photo (optional)

• Short bio (optional)

• Lifestyle preferences such as drinking and smoking (optional)

• Astrological sign (optional)

Activity data

• Venue check-ins (which venue, time, and your gender — combined with other users' data to calculate ratios)

• App usage (screens viewed, features used)

• Badges earned and referral activity

Device and technical data

• Device type and operating system

• Approximate location while the App is open (used to show nearby venues)

• Push notification token (if you enable notifications)

• Crash and diagnostic logs

Payment data (venue partners only) If you subscribe to a venue partner plan, payments are processed by Apple. We receive only the subscription status — never your full card or Apple ID details.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not track your location in the background

• We do not access your contacts, microphone, or camera unless you explicitly grant permission

• We do not collect biometric data

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the core ratio feature (your gender + check-in is added to the venue's aggregate count)

• Show you nearby partnered venues

• Verify you meet the 21+ age requirement

• Send relevant notifications (only if you opt in)

• Improve the App through usage analytics

• Communicate with you about your account or support requests

• Process venue partner subscriptions

• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and spam

5. How Ratios Work

The live male-to-female ratio displayed at each venue is calculated by combining the genders of users who have checked in at that venue within the active time window. Ratios are shown only as an aggregate percentage. Your individual check-in is never displayed publicly to other users.

6. Sharing Your Information

We share information only in the limited circumstances below:

• Service providers — companies that help us operate the App (e.g. cloud hosting, push notification services, crash reporting). They are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.

• Venue partners — venues see only aggregate, anonymous data about their crowd (such as total check-ins and ratio). They never see individual user profiles or contact info.

• Legal compliance — if we are required by law, subpoena, or court order to disclose information.

• Business transfers — if Social Ratios is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity, subject to this policy.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

• Edit your profile at any time inside the App (Profile → Edit)

• Set your profile to private so it is not visible to anyone

• Disable location in iPhone Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Social Ratios

• Disable notifications in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Social Ratios

• Delete your account in the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Account deletion permanently removes your profile, check-in history, badges, and preferences within 30 days.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, email [your support email].

8. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, accounting, or fraud prevention purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

Social Ratios is intended for users 21 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 21, we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, secure cloud infrastructure) to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

11. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App and update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the new policy.
