Anatomy
Facial Structure: Blueish color of the face and hairless. They have distinct flat noses with wide nostrils. As seen in the visual, males have growth located on the edges of their mouths. These show the there maturity and raise there sexual appeal to female mates.
Fur: The monkey's have a thick colorful golden and orange coat which allows them to live in colder climates compared to other monkeys. They also have black hair on other parts of their bodies like the arms and back. Females look similar but instead of black hair you will see that they have brown hair mixed with their black hairs.
Extremities: Like other primates, GSNM's have similar bodies. They have 5 fingers as well as 5 toes on each of their 4 limbs and have flat nails instead of claws.
Physiology
Respiratory System: Like humans, monkeys respiratory systems are pulmonary. So they have lungs, a pharynx, bronchi and trachea.
Nervous System: GSNM's like other mammals have larger and complex brains. Primates in particular have a higher level of intelligence compared to other animals. They are able to receive and process things that at an advanced level making them very good problem solvers. They have stronger vison compared to other mammals which rely on a strong sense of smell.
Digestive System: A monkey like other primates have similar digestive tracks. They vary in size but they have a stomach and intestines' system just like we do as humans.
Reproduction
Mating: GSNM's are polygynous when it comes to mating which means a male in a group can have multiple female mates.
Reproduction: Like other mammals, these monkeys reproduce through intercourse. All primates although they have their different variations have similar reproductive organs. Babies are born through the bodies of their mothers. They can only birth a child every couple of years.
Lifecycle: GSNM's can live into their twenties. 20-25 years of age. It has been recorded that in captivity they can even live longer.
