Unlike yesterday, today was a bright and sunny day. After a walk through Old Town where learned about Prague's history with communist occupation, we made our way through by trams to reach Prague castle. Protruding from behind the trees, this gothic behemoth reminded me of Hogwarts from the Wizarding World. Seems like Prague permeate enchantment and magic. But the magic is not only found on the outside

Inside Prague Castle awaits my favorite part of the trip. Stained glass. These pictures alone cannot capture how the light reflections and shines through the painted glass. The colors are vibrant. The artists capture the light so beautifully the reflections from the glass itself are art. It's is amazing to see art being preserved throughout the years, to know someone from hundreds of years ago is still here within the glass.
Below is a carousel of some of the many stained glass found within the castle!
Within Prague Castle was many more beautiful relics, wooden statues, carvings and rooms. You cannot capture the feelings of being inside and seeing all these beautiful art forms being preserved for the rest of humanity to see.
It is an artists dream to visit these kinds of places but it was time for a much needed break after some walking. We made our way outside to the courtyard in front of Prague castle where we ate some gelato and took some pictures in front of the castle.
After our break, we dove right back into the castle and we were met with more incredible art and history. Many scholars had been within Prague's castle at one point and had kept records of things inside these books. You will have to find out for yourself what hidden treasures are within the books!

Before our first half of the day concluded, our tour guide took us to the best picturesque scene of the entirety of Prague. If you look closesly you can see many of the important landmarks in Prague like Charles Bridge!
After finishing our tour with Rick Steves, we were free for lunch, however, before going, Max and I made our own trip to the Strahov monastery. I had seen from many social media posts about this monastery and had to check it out for myself. I was immensely glad that I did. The two places we saw were the Theological Hall and the Philosophical Hall. The rooms reminded me of the Beast's library in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The paintings, the books, and its collection consists of approximately 200,000 volume have been kept for the public to see. There are some days where guided tours aer avalible to go inside the hall, unfortunately they were all booked the day we went. I highly recommed researching side quests you want to do at least a month before the trip!

✴️ Book side quests well in advanced. Do lots of research to see how you can spend your free time!
Remember in middle school when you were tasked with reading a strange story about a salesman who turned into a disgusting and huge insect? Well the author of that novella used to live here! The novella is titled Metamorphosis and talks about identity, alienation and many more important themes of humanity.
✴️ Learn not just the language of the people but some of the culture such as: literature, art and history to really understand what it is like to stand in the same area!
Franz Kafka was a well renowned author, but I of course did not know the importance of his work as a 13 year old. It is crazy to think that I would be able to see where the authors lived. His house sits amongst many more important figures in the literature world in place called the Golden Lane. You can even go inside the houses to check them out! They are a little cramped and this place tends to be crowded so stick close together and enjoy stepping into another tid bit of history!
The concludes Day 2 of Prague! We enjoyed our night with a stroll around the city taking pictures and talking about our day.
Some folks even got a Prague speciality: Chimney Cones (do not worry we will get to this while we are in Hungary!)
I forgot both my hat and sunglasses and amazingly I found this frog hat that also acts as sunglasses!
