FRIDAY OCTOBER 9th
Keep your class in the lead - DONATION LINK Coming Soon
What is the Color Dash: Our fundraiser starts out with a fun competition to raise funds by class a few weeks ahead of the celebration event to build excitement and bring students together to support our school. On the day of the Color Dash, students, staff and families are invited to walk, run, or dash for approximately 30 minutes on a loop around the school during the school day. T-shirts will be provided to students for the event (courtesy of our sponsors) and participants will get “splashed” with color* by parent volunteers. A great way for our Stillwater Middle School community to come together, raise some money, get our bodies active and celebrate a new school year!
*Color is a non-toxic powder and washes out. Color will be aimed at T-shirts as much as possible – participants may opt out of color stations. If you don't want your child to participate, please notify your student's advisory teacher.
Who can participate: Students, staff, and families (grandparents, siblings and special people in your child’s life) are all welcome to join in the fun, no pets please.
What we are color dashing for: This year’s Color Dash will help to provide teacher grants to assist in buying supplies and materials for their classrooms, financial support for field trips and other needs for the classroom.
What is our goal: We have a huge goal to raise $40,000 for our school (approximately $45 per student). There will be a fun prize for the 3 classes that raise the most funds PLUS a school-wide surprise if we hit our goal! Donations accepted until 11:59 PM on October 9th. This will be the only fundraiser of the school year.
Volunteers Needed: Approximately 100 volunteers are needed to run this event each year! Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks: distribute shirts to students, create race decorations, assist with all-school assembly, set up color run stations, "splash" color on runners, race clean up and help to make it a fun day!
