Baptism

We welcome and congratulate families who wish to pass on their faith through the Sacrament of Baptism! The Sacrament of Baptism is a tremendously important step in your child's life of faith, and the St. Martin of Tours Catholic community is here to support you and your child in the faith. Your child is baptized into the community of believers - the Body of Christ. "The whole (ecclesial) community bears some responsibility for the development and safeguarding of the grace given at Baptism." ~ Catechism of the Catholic Church  CCC #1255

"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua) and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons [and daughters] of God; We become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: 'Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the Word.'" ~ (CCC) # 1213

As you begin the preparation process, it is imperative that you contact the Catholic Pastoral Life Coordinator (CPLC) as soon as possible to ensure the necessary steps are accurately and timely completed. Please note that all forms must be signed with a wet signature, printed and brought to the CPLC.
