Tyler Michael Jacobs was born and raised in central Nebraska. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney and works for the Nebraska Writers Collective as a Teaching Artist. He lives in Kearney, Nebraska. 

He is the author of The Weight of Drought and Building Brownville both published by Stephen F. Austin State University Press. His words have appeared or are forthcoming in Passages North, Variant Literature, Plainsongs, Pidgeonholes, Sierra Nevada Review, and elsewhere. His poems have also been featured on Nebraska Public Media’s Friday LIVE! He received his MFA from Bowling Green State University.
