why

Our motivation for this project is Jesus' invitation to "love your neighbor." We will explore together the housing crisis in our city, the reasons people experience homelessness, and what can be done to alleviate the suffering of our neighbors.

Our theme for the week in 2021 was based on the song "All Are Welcome" by Marty Haugen.

In past mission trips to Mexico, we have been inspired by the theme of accompaniment. We go, not as saviors, but as partners in the work of God to bring restoration and hope to all her children. We will participate in this project with the same mindset. We are all children of God, none more important or worthy than another.
