Tiny House 2022

Let us build a house where love can dwell

A team at St. Mark's will be building tiny houses through the LIHI organization July 25-30th 2022!

Building Project

As we did for the first time in 2021, St. Mark’s will be building tiny houses through LIHI for people in our community who need homes. We’re really looking forward to this opportunity to help house people in our own city. Join us to explore issues of homelessness, build community together, share fellowship, and contribute to a solution. After we've gathered a team, we will meet together on *** to plan the week and explore housing issues, then spend the last week of July together building 4 houses. We will do this in the upper lot at St. Mark’s, with the help of skilled builders in our congregation who have built these houses before. As we do when we build houses in Mexico, we will enjoy devotions, meals, activities, and have fun together. There will be opportunities for team members of different skill levels to participate in building.

If you're not part of the building team, you're welcome to support in other ways, like with food or financial support, as well as participate in a house blessing at the end of the week, We will be a part of the St. Mark's all church picnic on Sunday July 31. We will bless the houses and have lots of other fun activities at this event.

The houses we build will be placed by LIHI into Tiny House Villages in our area.
