What stays on your device
Your pantry items, storage places, shopping list, photos and reminders are stored only on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, they are stored in your private iCloud account, which we cannot access. We do not require an account.
AI recipe ideas ("Was kann ich essen?")
When you tap the button, the names of your pantry items, how soon they expire, your chosen diet filters and your optional wish are sent to our server and passed to an AI model provider (via OpenRouter) to create recipe suggestions. A random app installation ID is sent with the request so we can apply the daily limit. We do not store the recipe request content, and it is not linked to your name or email.
Barcode scanning
When you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a free open product database, to look up the product name and size. No personal data is sent.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases. We never see your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; you can cancel anytime in your iPhone Settings under Apple ID > Subscriptions. Terms of Use: Apple Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).
Our other apps (cross-promotion)
The app may show cards for our other apps. We record anonymous views and taps of these cards with the random installation ID to measure them. There is no third-party advertising and no tracking across other companies' apps.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud data can be removed in iPhone Settings > Apple ID > iCloud. To ask us to delete server-side usage counts for your installation, email us.
