SNL in HBNU
  • PM10 (≤10μm) or PM2.5 (≤2.5μm) are harmful substances that cause chronic respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.

  • Inspired to develop high-performance air filters to mitigate PM and improve air quality.

  • Research on simple and economical synthesis technology for a new level of air filter.

  • Most seawater desalination systems depend on fossil energy using heat and electricity, but a vicious cycle is repeated due to exhaust gas.

  • Development of smart photothermal materials with low cost and high evaporation performance to solve this problem.

  • Lack of freshwater resources due to rapid industrialization and population growth.

  • Existing countermeasures to current oil spill incidents are expensive and ineffective.

  • It is highly desirable to selectively remove oil from water.

  • Development of a bulk structure composed of smart nanomaterials for oil/water separation.

  • The goal is to develop a new catalytic filter with no risk of leakage, fast catalytic reaction, high flow rate, easy increase/decrease in catalytic amount, and excellent reusability.

  • Organic pollutants contaminate water resources and organisms and are not biodegradable.

  • Only about 9% of plastic is recycled and 79% remains in the environment.

  • Among them, microplastics have a strong adsorption capacity for organic pollutants and act as vectors of harmful microorganisms and chemical pollutants in the environment.

  • Developing an economical and reusable method for removing microplastics from wastewater
