The Smart Irrigation System is an automated plant care solution that utilizes soil moisture and temperature sensors to ensure optimal hydration and environmental conditions for your plants. The system simulates watering and activates a fan to maintain a healthy environment for your plants.
Soil Moisture Sensor – Measures the moisture content in the soil.
Temperature Sensor – Measures the ambient temperature.
Push Button – Pauses/resumes the system.
Servo Motor – Controls the watering mechanism with the moisture levels.
LED – Indicates the watering process.
Fan – Activated to cool the environment if the temperature exceeds 24°C.
1. Connect the power supply to the Smart Irrigation System. Once powered on, the system will display real-time data for soil moisture and temperature.
2. Insert the soil moisture sensor into the soil where you want to monitor moisture levels. Place it about 2-3 inches below the surface, near the plant's root zone.
3. Place the temperature sensor in an open area where it is not blocked by objects or shadows. This will ensure accurate temperature readings.
4. If you're using the system in a closed space, place the fan in a location where it can help lower the temperature when it gets too hot.
5. Connect the servo to your watering system to control the watering process. The system will automatically activate watering when needed.
6. Once everything is connected, you're good to go! The system will automatically monitor the soil moisture and temperature, ensuring optimal care for your plants.
Watering Activation
When soil moisture falls below 30%, the servo motor will activate to simulate watering, and the LED will light up to indicate that watering is taking place.
Temperature Control
If the temperature exceeds 24°C, the fan will turn on automatically to cool the environment.
Real-Time Monitoring
The system continuously displays the soil moisture and temperature readings every 5 seconds, providing real-time insights.
Pause and Resume
Simply press the Push button to pause the system.
Check the power supply to make sure the system is receiving power. Verify that all sensors and components are securely connected.
The fan is only activated when the temperature exceeds 24°C. If the temperature is below this threshold, the fan will remain off.
The system will only activate watering when the soil moisture level drops below 30%. Check the soil moisture readings to ensure they are below the threshold for watering to begin.
