SMART Training
GSF 200: Meeting Host Training - 8 - 10 hours to train. Cost: $39 > CLICK HERE learn more. When completing this course, you'll be authorized to start and host a new SMART Recovery hosted Discussion meeting.
GSF 201: Facilitator Training - Approximately 20 hours to complete. Cost $99 > CLICK HERE to learn more. You'll be provided with in-depth, comprehensive training on the SMART Recovery 4-Point Program, the SMART Recovery tools... and MORE!
GSF 203: Facilitator/Family & Friends Training - Approximately 28 hours to complete. Cost $129 > CLICK HERE to learn more.Upon completing this additional “add-on” training to the prerequisite GSF 201: Facilitator Training course, you’ll be able to provide a Family & Friends meeting for "concerned significant others" (CSO) to address the specific issues encountered when a friend or family member tries to reach out and help a loved one affected by addiction.

Keeps You Focused on Recovery. Volunteering helps keeps you engaged with the program and material.
Keeps You Productive. Staying productive is one of the most important things someone new in recovery can do. Getting involved in new activities keeps you busy and helps you focus on activities.
Gives You Purpose. Addiction can rob you of a sense of meaning and purpose in life. It's important to redefine your purpose in life, and then pursue activities that support that purpose.
Improves Self-Esteem and Confidence. In recovery, there is a real need to rebuild self-confidence. By helping others, you get to witness the fruits of your efforts when you see firsthand the positive impact you’ve made on someone’s life. Volunteer work helps build renewed self-esteem, and in return, that will boost your self-confidence.
Helps You Engage with Others. It's often said that "the opposite of addiction is connection". Emerging from addictive behaviors can often be a lonely, isolating existence. Helping others helps You get and stay involved. What better way to engage with others than by providing a service to them?
Your experience with addiction is an Asset, not a liability! Most of us associate our time in addiction with guilt, shame, and remorse. When you reframe it, you'll find that there are actually positives to your experience that can help others. Sharing our knowledge and experience with others in recovery can provide them with a source of inspiration, knowledge, and hope.
