Casey Huang

I am a graduate student at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Majoring in Material Science and Engineering. My past project is utilizing PLGA nanocapsules to improve curcumin’s bioavailability and stability as an anti-inflammatory agent. Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing volleyball, singing, and cooking.

Improving curcumin’s bioavailability and stability as an anti-inflammatory agent using PLGA nanocapsule

• Synthesize double-shell PLGA(Poly(Lactic Acid-co-Glycolic Acid) nanocapsules with improved stability via emulsion.

• Nanocapsule development helps the drug stay longer at the injured site which improved availability and stability.

• Evaluate cell viability for curcumin-nanocapsule treatment.

• Measure Zeta potential and particle size via DLS.
