*setting the foundation and prepping our writing ability*

*growing and cultivating our writing*
Throughout the semester, there will be 2 Advanced Writing Assignments. These will range from 4-8 pages, single-spaced and will bring together multiple writing techniques and skills that we have learned throughout the semester. Each writing assignment will be posted below and on the Google Classroom as well.
Revisions
You will have the opportunity to revise each and every FWA and AWA assignment. Following the Specification Grading rubric, you must revise at least 2 of the FWAs and 1 of the AWAs to receive a grade of a C or above. The ability to revise all writing assignments should greatly improve your average grade for the FWAs and AWAs. Editing and revising is an important skill in writing so the more you practice editing and revising, the better writer you will be!
The revision process will proceed as follows:
1) students will receive rubric scores and instructor written feedback on day X
2) students can revise and resubmit up to the beginning of the class period exactly one week after X
3) the instructor will re-score the work using the same rubric as before though no additional written feedback will be provided.
Please note that the average score for FWA and AWA will be based on the FINAL assignment grade, AFTER any revisions have been scored. Thus, to earn the highest possible score, students should revise most of these assignments based on instructor feedback.
