“Crossing at Ferguson and Charlton is basically playing Russian Roulette. Constant speeding and blowing stop signs.”

“If they’re not disobeying the stop signs, drivers race and then halt in-between them.”

“A number of times, I’ve cautiously backed out on to Young and have been nearly sideswiped by cars that swing super fast around the corner at Young/Walnut and have braked in time. If they had hit us, it would have been my kid’s door! I’ve started backing into the driveway so that if we’re hit, at least it would be me it would impact. These are the choices I make!”

“Grove St as a racing shortcut from wellington down to hunter. Includes a rolling stop right turn onto liberty street then another rolling stop left onto hunter. Also includes raining down Grove from wellington to turn left on Ford St just before getting to liberty st... there are kids out playing..it’s scary.”

“The speed bumps that are installed are too low and have gaps. They’re not going to have much of an impact on SUVS and trucks and they just fly over them, no problem.”

“Walnut and Augusta, speed bumps don’t seem to work or the stop signs.”

“People completely ignoring the stop signs at Walnut and Augusta. Racing on Walnut St under the railway bridge going both North and South bound.”

“I have seen a lot of drivers ignoring stop signs particularly at Forest and Ferguson which is very scary because it is a school intersection.”

“Between Walnut and John on Forest people drive the wrong direction ALL the time!...It's one way.”

“Charlton East of Ferguson. People actually pull out and pass each other. It's like a drag strip sometimes.”

“Catharine and Young is awful for people barely stopping at the stop signs and not looking for pedestrians.”

“I live on the corner of walnut and Forest and there are speeding cars and motorcycles and people not stopping at the intersection constantly.”

“Every single time I walk my dog at the corner of Charlton and Ferguson, I nearly get hit by a car that blows through the stop signs.”

“The two times I’ve nearly been hit in Hamilton were from cars speeding down John St when I was following the rules. Both times, at the speed they were going, I was about 6” away from being mush.”

“A guy barely stopped at the sign and proceeded to yell at me saying that I needed to stop and wait for the car to pass when actually I had reached the stop sign before he did. He kept yelling at me insisting I was wrong and that if he hit me it would be my fault and not his... Clearly he doesn't care for the rules of the road or that he could've run me over. Charlton and Ferguson is a constant horrible spot for pedestrians. Drivers do not stop.”

“I have never once seen any kind of enforcement of traffic laws. Drivers know they can get away with it.”

“I just witnessed two Honda Civics racing side by side north on Walnut from Forest.”

"We've lived on Walnut St. S for over a decade (now with 2 young kids). We are often afraid to walk on the sidewalks, especially during the workweek 'commuting' times around 8 to 9am and 4 to 5pm. Even though Walnut is a primarily residential street (with a school and two parks!) it is used as an arterial road. It should not be this way"
