Music Projects

Ever since picking up my first acoustic guitar and electric bass back in high school I haven't been able to go very long without them. Since those high school days I have been lucky to be involved in some great music projects and work along with some creative and cool people to various musical ends. Whether it was an open mic with a newly prepared original song, a professional live performance, or recording some tracks in the studio, I have enjoyed the presence of music in my life and work. Much of this was undocumented but here are some of the projects that I do have some photo or video record of collected into one spot.

Barring Abstinence

This is where the core of these different projects first came together and formed a bond through friendship and music that would last through high school, college and well into our adulthood. Joe on drums, Dan on guitar, and me on bass. 30 years later I can't imagine if Barring Abstinence had never happened. Also involved in this was Richard on guitar and various friends taking turns on the mic. Photo and audio evidence of this project are sparce and private for now.

Five 2 Drive

A fun cover band project that reunited the core that formed in Barring Abstinence. We added the vocals of Steve and covered some of our favorite bands. We brought live music to many venues through Long Island and NYC.

Random Theory

Joe, and Dan joined me once again in this natural continuation of the work that had made Five 2 Drive such a success and so much fun. We added some party rock and classic rock tunes to our song list in order to make ourselves a bit more crowd friendly but still kept our main focus on our alt rock faves. This time we came together to support the voice of Britt (aka Theda). Theda has since put more of a focus on her solo career writing and performing her original music. Will Random Theory ever return to a stage near you?

Here is a link to our reverb nation site that has some audio/video samples of our work.
