Coming soon to Sleepy Hollow...
THE HOLLOW: Public Square
An initiative dedicated to arts, gathering, and creativity.
Reimagining the former VFW building at 228 N. Washington St, Sleepy Hollow for connection and community.
The Hollow is envisioned as a community cultural center and public square — a flexible, open, welcoming space dedicated to:
arts and cultural programming
public gathering
educational workshops
creative collaboration
interdisciplinary events
local maker and vendor markets
co-working and creative incubation
performances and civic dialogue
accessible community connection
The goal is not simply to create a venue, but to cultivate an enduring community institution.
Live music and performances curated by our Programming Operator "Sleepy Hollow Arts Collective"
Along with a variety of classes and workshops for all ages
Community meetings, co-working opportunities
Vibrant indoor flea market on Saturdays, the anchor event with artisans and vintage
Weekly "Public Assembly" (secular gathering on Sunday mornings)
The Hollow is currently seeking:
founding and sustaining members
hospitality operator(s) for wine/beer/coffee
arts collaborators
institutional allies
flea market vendors
This is an opportunity to help shape a lasting cultural institution during its earliest formation. First, we need to buy the building, no easy feat. We need your support to do so. Please consider joining today at any level.
The Sleepy Hollow Arts Collective, a local 501c3 and anticipated Programming Partner, has offered to serve as our fiscal sponsor to help us begin fundraising toward these goals. Any funds you donate for this cause to their organization will be reserved in "The Hollow" fund just for this.
