Running in to issues is inevitable. Luckily, most issues can be fixed, but some might be more complicated than others.
Have you run LOOT?
Have you checked your mod files for conflicts?
Did you verify all the necessary ESMs/ESPs/ESLs were enabled in the Plugins tab?
Did you disable any mods that might affect, or change the NPC/object/mechanic affected by the problem?
Does the problem persist after restarting the game?
What does the mod's page say?
Does the mod page have videos/FAQs/articles/docs/etc included?
If yes, what did the videos/FAQs/articles/docs/etc say?
What did the comments say?
Do you have the requirements listed on the mod's page?
If yes, do you have their requirements?
If yes, are the requirements installed correctly?
If yes, are the mods you're having trouble with installed correctly?
Does the problem persist on a brand new save?
Does the problem persist with all mods disabled?
Do you have a mod installed that is meant for a different version of Skyrim (Oldrim/LE/SE)?
Does your PC meet the recommended requirements for your version of Skyrim (RAM/GPU/CPU/etc)?
If using Vortex, did you deploy your mods?
Did you run any required tools from Vortex's dashboard shortcuts?
Did you run any required tools from the hardlinks in your game folder?
Did you add custom animations?
If yes, do you have Nemesis or Pandora?
If yes, did you run Nemesis or Pandora?
If using MO2, did you run it via MO2?
Did you check the patches for your animation mods in Nemesis, if necessary?
Are the animations you're using for your version of the game (Oldrim/LE/SE)?
Were there errors in Nemesis?
If yes, what did the errors say?
Have you tried when sober?
You should have a crash logger like NSF or Crash Logger depending on your version. If a new version just released, use trainwreck. Only if no other options are available, use trainwreck.
Crash Log Analyzer, Crash Decoder etc. "readers" most of the time only provide clues to the crash's cause, not directly the crash itself.
