"The lords of the court care not for reason or the betterment of the kingdom, they care only for bribes and their games. To win their favour, you must play"
2-4 Players
The high houses conviene to decide the direction of matters of great import to your lesser house, though your pleas and reason fall on deaf ears. For the high Pentraygain Lords, court is a game, if you want things to go your way, you'll have to play.
In skybound Lords, compete against other players in this fast pace spin on a trick taking game.
To win skybound Lords, you must have collected the most court favour when court is ajored. Favour is mainly awarded by Lords, but some effects also award favour.
Each player starts with a deck of cards numbered 0-10
Each player has a starting hand of 4 cards.
Each turn each player plays 1 card, then draws 1 card.
There are 3 lords out at any time.
Once a lord has received 4/3/4 cards they are "Done With Court" and Scored
Lords start with 2 Favour on them, each further lord enters with 1 more favour than the previous lord. (Including Modifiers)
Separate the gem decks based on colon, shuffle and put aside the lord deck, each player randomly takes a gem deck and shuffles it.
In a two player game, each player takes two gem decks.
Reveal 3 Lords and place 2 favour tokens on each.
Each player draws 4 cards, the player with the red gems goes first and play proceeds clockwise from them.
Shown cards would be secret in each player's hand
On your turn you must play a card from your hand beneath one of the revealed Lords.
When playing a card you may play the card face up as a bribe, worth the number on the corners of the card. Or. Activate the effect of that card then place it face down.
After playing a card, check if the lord is done with court, otherwise, the next players turn begins.
When a lord has 4 (or 3 in a game with three players) cards under them, they are "done with court" they give their favour tokens to the player that bribed them the most, (in case of a tie they give each tieing player an equal amount of favor and discard any excess) then they and the cards under them are discarded.
The next lord is then revealed in their spot and enters with favor equal to one more than the favor of the lord that was just discarded.
The game ends when each player has no more cards in their hand.
At this point, all other Lords are done with court and are resolved.
The player with the most favor wins the game.
