건설과 IT기술을 융합하여 우리가 살아가는 “도시”라는 물리적인 공간에서 교량, 건물, 도로 등 다양한 구조물의 기능을 보다 지능화시켜 안전·쾌적하며 누구나 꿈꾸는 스마트 도시 시설물 건설을 위한 실제 응용기술을 학문·실제적으로 현실화 시키는 연구를 합니다. 본 연구실은 재료역학, 구조동역학, 센서공학 및 정보처리기술에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 융복합적 시각에서 우리가 살아가면서 이용하는 도시 시설물의 기능을 보다 지능화시키기 위해 조금이나마 학술적인 기여를 하고자 합니다.

We will integrate construction and IT technology into the physical space called "the city" where we live. We will make  functions of various structures such as bridges, buildings, roads more intelligent and practical and practical technologies for building smart city facilities that are safe.  We conduct research  on. Based on our understanding of material mechanics, structural dynamics, sensor engineering, and information processing technology, we aim to make academic contributions to realize intelligent  functions of  facilities  in the urban environment where we dwell.
