스마트도시 인프라개론 (Introduction to Smart City Infra)

This class offers an introduction to the basic engineering theories and filed application issues for Smart Green City (SGC) planning, construction, and maintenance. First, this course is to discuss and explore the awareness of the ubiquitous technology issues and the fusion/convergence effort how Construction and Information Technologies meaningfully engage the SGC. With case studies, students understand the recent technologies and researches. And, each student will have a concept for the creative thinking approach and develop his/her term project at the technical levels. Finally, students will also gain an appreciation of the state-of-the-art future SGC environments.

건설IT융합설계 (Construction IT Convergence Design)

Recently, the construction industry is changing as a leading-edge IT-convergence technology throughout the fusion industries transformed into a smart construction industry. In this context, this course introduces the present situations  of IT convergence in construction and IT-based technologies. Basic concepts and theories for IT convergence are given at this lecture. Furthermore, this lecture finds a way how to improve construction productivity, eco-friendly construction and the creating added values by using the construction IT convergence design concepts.

IT기반 구조물의 계측 및 실험기법 (IT-based Measurement and Experiment Method of Construction)

This course offers an introduction to the emerging smart sensor technologies that can be very widely incorporated with ubiquitous computing paradigm. Smart system integrate sensing, actuation, data processing and control capabilities so that a system can sense and respond to its changing external conditions. Contents of lectures include the concepts of smart materials and their properties, introduction to various sensing, power harvesting, signal conditions and signal processing technologies. Students will also gain an appreciation of the state-of-the-art smart ubiquitous system applications such as structural health monitoring, active/passive control, building information modeling and energy performance evaluation. This course is designed to be an introductory course on this subject and will have a flavor toward civil construction IT convergence systems.
